  1. This is wonderful, but what if you're not on your own machine? Maybe you're on a public computer or a friends computer, can you still gain access to your 50 char password that is stored on your computer in 1Password? I'm assuming you would need to use the sync feature? If that's the case, wouldn't the "security" behind it be in the hands of the 3rd party? Meaning, if you use Lastpass, it stores your data on its servers, so your passwords and the security measures behind it are in the hands of Lastpass. In the case of 1Password, your passwords are encrypted but are in the hand of the 3rd party you're using (icloud/dropbox etc.) . This may not make much difference in either case--hacked is hacked--but it does feel kind of nice not having to pay for something you then need to send off to another company and hope it stays secure. I'm not in love with Lastpass--I think the UI of 1Password is much better, but I can't get over the idea that you'd rely on a different company for the syncing feature. Any insight on this would be great.
  2. Internet Explorer or Edge add-on/extension?
  3. from Feb 2017, you can only pay monthly $3 to use 1Password, no one time purchase anymore, way too expensive for such thing. pass
  4. Just tried the free version of this and wasn't pleased thanks for the vid
  5. David, Thanks for this great video. It was very helpful! What kind of mic are you using. Its looks cool.
  6. LastPass have cloud. Imagine suddenly you lose your gadget when traveling. So you can go to local store purchasing new gadget, or borrow the gadget from your friend. Install the LassPass extension or app and you're good to go. But with 1Password i'll be dammed if that situation ever happen to me.
  7. Great video. Love yet sense of humor

  13. Your oral presentation lacks clarity. Calm down a bit. Way too hyper.
  14. apparently 1000+ centuries to crack the password "KkKkKkKkKkKkKkKkKkKk"
  15. Lastpass now free across all devices no yearly charge, and free syncing across all devices.
  16. Thank you guys so much for the time and professionalism you put into your tutorials. I am a recent convert from PC to Mac Book Pro. If it were not for your tutorial and instruction the grand total on how to use my mac would be about how to press the start button and go through the set up questions. I HONESTLY CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR THE KNOWLEDGE YOU EMPART. Truely grateful. Phil.
  17. Many thanks for the wonderful video! Really great! Compliments.
One point though, at around 16:40 you are on the topic of 'synchronizing' and are saying something that hints that Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud are supported.
I can't judge iCloud, am on Windows, but I believe Google Drive is not supported(?)
It has been asked for over and over as some (or maybe many?) users don't trust Dropbox - allegedly being hacked(?) and Dropbox is slightly outdated compared to Google Drive or OneDrive, so users tend to use these services.
However, right now, whilst looking at the 1Password discussion thread "It's time to add Google Drive support for Syncing" the 1Password feedback reads "We do not have any definite plans, that I'm aware of, to add Google Drive support", I am afraid it'll take a while before GoogleDrive is on the 1Password menu :-)
    Just for your info.
  18. Thank you David A. Cox, all I want to know is where have you been all my life :)
  19. I can't get 1 password to talk to my I phone and I pad. I keep getting notes on my I phone to sign in. Over and Over and Over. I tried to put in the extension for Safari and my I Mac said Error. What to do?
  20. If I forget the password to 1password, I might be toast. Or is there a way around that? I don't how how comfortable I am in putting all of my faith in 1 piece of software, especially in today's world of rapidly changing software. But that might just be a bias of mine. I'm also wondering now how important it is to have super strong passwords since a lot of the more important sites now have 2 step verification where they text a message to my phone for the second step, so that even if someone figures out my password, they still need the code to the second step, and they cannot get that remotely. They would have to steal my phone, and even then, it's protected by my fingerprint, or a 6 digit passcode. By the time they do this, I'll have wiped out that phone number as the second step and replaced it with another phone number.
