  3. Hello! Thanks for the instruction for making a bootable usb using transmac. It worked for me OS X Lion. I wonder if this PowerISO procedure will work the same way on mac? Thanks!
  4. Thanks for helping others! You can also use Aomei Partition Assistant to format the usb drive after doing this with Power ISO. Very powerful and FREE program which you can format practically all hard drive types!

  5. Do you also have a way to make a DMG or ISO bootable with output file as
ISO, for use in VM Ware Player or VirtualBox. With those tools using as
ISO works best. Some can read the DMG as well but can't boot from it.
There are many tutors about creating a USB bootable from the DMG. But
can TransMac save as ISO instead of putting it on the USB stick ? If we
can do that then we can use the retail dmg from Apple, now such an image
wont load on the virtual pc applications ;)

I saw output as iso in the program you used here , so will give that a try. Power ISO4.9 = 1.85 mb ;)

Don't think it will be bootable, but giving this a try

    Run PowerISO.
    Choose "Tools > Convert"
    PowerISO shows Image Converter dialog.
Choose the source DMG file you want to convert.
Set the output file format to iso file.
    Choose the output file name.
  6. awsome bro very good presentation and good instructions
  7. get the circle with "/" every time -.- HFS+ with primary partition and gpt and transmac whatever but doesn't work on macbook pro early 2008 :/
  8. "different then with" - I think you meant 'Different THAN with' (not upper-case)...
  9. My problem is when I plug my USB Stick in the MacBook it only says the hard drive. And wont be able to select the booting usb drive. Help pls.
  10. the flash drive shows up in the reinstall options....but i try to click on it, and continue, and it says the flash drive has to be partitioned to a guid table scheme....but when i go into disk utility to partition it to a guid table scheme, that will erase the mountain lion os x....so, how can i partition the flash drive, then put the .dmg file on there?
