Recovering Your Linux AberNAS to Its Factory Defaults For additional information or support, visit our Support Center: http://support.aberdeeninc.com/index.php This video applies to the following AberNAS models only: N11L, N21L, N26L, N31L, N46L, N51L, N81L and N86L. Warning: Recovery restores your system to its factory default state, resetting everything on the operating system drive(s). Have your license key (included in the system accessory box) on hand. You will need it after the recovery is complete. 1. Shut down your AberNAS system and back out ALL data drives. If you do not do so, you will risk LOSING ALL YOUR DATA RESIDING ON THEM!!! 2. If you have any add-on network cards, take them out of the system now. 3. Connect the system to a keyboard/monitor. Power it on and press F11 repeatedly when the Aberdeen logo appears on screen. 4. Allow the boot-up process to initialize. Each time you are prompted by the RAID controller saying that all the drives from your previous configuration are gone, press any key to continue. 5. Wait for the boot-up process to complete and select either 'InnoDiskUSB EDC V 2SE' or 'SanDisk Cruzer Fit 1.x' from the boot options menu. 6. Follow the system prompts. Once the recovery process is complete, you will be prompted to reboot. After the system reboots and the login screen appears, follow the 'ABERNAS INITIAL SETUP' instructions on the sticker on top of your system. 7. If you removed any add-on network cards (step #2), shut down the system and put them back in.
