Advanced System Restore for Windows 7

Maybe you have installed a software update or made a change to your computer that has stopped Windows from starting up. If only you could roll back your computer to a time before you installed that update or made that change! If you have a Windows 7 install DVD there is a way to access system restore without starting Windows. This should only be use as a last resort when you can't start Windows 7.

  3. Diy pc repairs. I have a old dell pc it was reinstall with a bad copy of Windows and I tried reinstall windows with a genuine disc but it comes up invalid product key and won't run Windows install

  6. llhello. I have sony Vaio SVF15213SNB series laptop having Windows 8 preinstalled in it . Since last few months When I turned Windows updates On then I found problems in operating my laptop . When I start the laptop the screen for entering the password does not appear and Windows try to start itself . again after sometime the screen appear for entering password but again try to start Windows untill I press any key on keyboard. I updated the Operating system to Windows 8.1. Again the same problem occurred. Now I am trying to install Windows 7 . During installation after windows starting setup the process is repeating itself everytime when I try to install operating system. Can you provide me some solution to this.
  7. Okay so when I try to restore my computer to a previous point, ie one month ago it tells me that I have none?!? Seems like I am not the only one. Heard about other alternatives to system restore but they are not of Windows. Supposedly they are better and on top of that, free.

    YOUR WIND 7 WAS RUNNING FOR YEARS, SOME SHIT HAPPENED AND YOU WANT TO GO BACK 5 MONTHS, BUT RESTORE SHOWS ONLY 5 DAYS AND ONLY 1 OR 2 RESTORE POINTS,
    HOW CAN WE GO BACK MONTHS EARLIER IF THE SYSTEM RESTORE SHOWS ONLY 2 DAYS?????
    THATS WHAT EVERYONE WANT TO KNOW. FUCK

  14. There is no advance system restore, its just system restore! System restore was developed to fix problems as a last resort, avoid this at all costs as it does more damage than good. If you have boot up problems and you have not backed up your work then you must first salvage all your important data on a another drive. There are various free boo-table cd's available on the market ie Hiren's, falcon, ultimate etc- All of these should able to carry out this operation. Once you have salvaged your data then you can start repairing your windows by going into safe mode or repairing boot sector, or using command line through CMD, or even using original windows OS disk. All of this info is available on the net. This video was utter waste of time!
  15. My computer doesn't show my harddrive, It show's Windows 7 under Operating System and 0MB under Partition Size and D: Local Disk under Location. It seems to take forever while it's Searching for Windows Installatoins. Any ideas??
