I conclude the Commodore Amiga Documentary with the second part of it's story. This episode is based heavily in the 1990s. We start out with the Amiga 500 and the UK Batman Pack, before moving on through the further developments, staff changes, The Commodore CDTV, Amiga 500+, Amiga 600, Amiga CD32, Amiga 1200, Amiga 4000, Amiga 3000 and the later models and revisions. We go through the peak of Commodore and the Amiga and it's downfall and the various factors which influenced its fall from grace. 1. FIRST
  2. Great work. So many colours!
  3. Thank you... from a true believer in the potential of what the Amiga could have been and almost was. Very much enjoyed this exposé into the nexus of technology, politics, brand, loyalty and above all bold, groundbreaking innovation - at least under the stewardship of J.M, who inspired my very on career. Cheers.
  4. I was wondering if you could list track names (or its origin) used in video. These bring back so many memories... Thanks!
  5. Had an A1200. Although half of my magazine cover disks didn't work, I did get to play Gloom which was awesome. Loved the machine.
  6. This is a great optimistic reviews for Amiga's fans, you did a good job for us.
    :-)
  7. I wonder whatever happened to Andy Crane. 🤔
  8. From which game is the music during the end titles?
  9. As part of my upbringing, Commodore played a great role in my formation as a computer enthusiast, i remember all the pre internet with the bbs and all the dedicated comunity.. i want to go back..
  10. Your videos are impressive. Reminds me of next generation magazine in video form. Glad I found your channel.
  11. Great stuff!
  12. why was the AMIGA overall not so popular in the US but in europe?
  13. So much nostalgia! I remember my Amiga 500, I'm pretty sure I had almost every game in my 2 drawers full of floppy's. This was pretty much my childhood even though I had the NES and SNES.
  14. Very well made documentary, although it makes me slightly sad. I was one of those die-hards, who held on to the Amiga long after its prime. I think I got my first Wintel PC in 2001 or 2002, up until then I used an Amiga for all my computing needs (which were not insignificant, since I was a computer science student). I started out with the A500, upgraded to 1 MB chip (soldered MB), added 4 MB fast and 50 MB hard drive, got an A1200, upgraded to 68030 and 16 MB RAM, upgraded with PCI slots and Voodo graphics card, got a PPC/68060 accellerator. My final upgrade was an AmigaOne PowerPC motherboard, on which I dual-booted Linux and emulated Mac besides AmigaOS 4. I also got myself a CDTV and CD32, purchased on auction websites.

All my Amigas (as well as my Dragon 32) are in boxes now, but I feel inspired to set them up again.
  15. Actually, hombre just means "man", not "male friend". It would have 2 have been called Amigo for that translation 2 work. And as good a name as it was 4 a western with Paul Nuewman, it was a dumb name for the computer. I 4 1, am glad they stuck with Amiga.
  16. I was a games artist and animator and I learned everything from home on my beloved amiga 500, then the Amiga 1200 I still have today, fantastic maching.
  17. The timeline here is a bit confusing. Seems like you're saying that the 500+ in 1992 was the introduction of WB2.0, when that came within months of the 3000's introduction in 1989.
  18. 34:10 young Elijah Wood in back to the future 2 :)
  19. 33:40 I don't think the A600 was built here in Australia in any number. Mine certainly wasn't. It, and the CD32, were both manufactured in my other home, the Philippines. That was a Medhi Ali (spits in disgust) move, spurred by the promise of cheapness. Another good call by the LBM!
  20. My brother & I were Amiga nuts and even we couldn't figure out just what the CDTV was for! Um, you could buy a keyboard, mouse, joystick & a floppy or two and end up with an A500 and a CD player ... huh? We & our friends were all puzzled.
