I 'Like' tape. It is cheaper per TB even when costs of the drives and libraries are figured in, Using IBM 3592 media, over the last 9 years I have had 4 tape failures every other month I have a disk failure, so tapes are not only cheaper but more reliable.Also, no single admin can erase the contents of tapes with a single command;whereas, we discovered yesterday the single button to erase all information on a Cleversafe disk device.
