  1. Your docs did great cast work and nice stitching as well...the weaknesses and pain u feel may be a lack of actual healing or just nerve damage. If the pain is at the ankle joint have the doc chk ur syndesmosis but if in front of tibia prob just nerve damage...google foods and nutrients that can help regrowth and keep it heated as much as possible...not hot just warm. Helps bloodflow and healing.
  2. Wondering is the pain from the break worse then the pain from after surgery ?
  3. I broke my ankle when I slipped on some mud at the park. I will never forget the sound of that crack. Now I just had surgery and I should be in a walking boot in four weeks. I was extremely nauseous when I woke up from surgery. All of this would happen before a job interview and during my last semester of school.

  15. I thought I broke my ankle so we went to minor injuries they said it was just a sprain after xraying it. I went back today and it turned out I broke my leg, so now tomorrow I have to get a CT scan. Lucky me... 😑 But thing was it doesn't hurt they said it was because of my growth plates....

  17. Hello....I have had severe fracture to my left ankle (diagnosed with HAWKINS'S TYPE III FRACTURE OF TALUS WITH SUBTALAR JOINT DISLOCATION - ORIF OF LEFT TALUS done on 28.03.2015). Herbert's screws are used to facilitate the fixation. I have been on complete bed rest for 4 months. After one year, nearly 40% of the ankle movement is lost and I couldn't walk on plain surfaces inclined upwards. The range of motion in the upward direction is very limited. So, after one year of my surgery, is it possible to regain the actual movement of my ankle? I am unable to run and perform most of the daily activities due to this blocked movement. I am very scared that I have to be like this for my entire life.
  18. Hi :) ouch I totally feel you. I just broke my tibia and fibula. I had to wear an external fixator for 2 weeks. then I went back for a scone surgery where the put in screws and plates. tomorrow it will be one month since my car accident. this has really bummed me out as I had to miss my friends wedding and I have a beauty pageant show to film in April. the accident was Feb 11. right now I have a splint but no cast. next week I have an appointment to see how everything looks. I am praying and hoping that I can recover as fast as you did. but then again you appreciate younger than I am. Thanks for sharing your story. btw I was a UCA Cheerleader in High School also. We were a Large Coed Competition squad. Long ago lol
