In this video we show how to recover data from a broken Buffalo LinkStation Duo unit. We get the drives out of the Buffalo NAS, connect them to the PC, and use ReclaiMe File Recovery software to extract data. All the steps are commented in details.   1. I have tried to recover data as per your video. But the Linuz MD-raid0 says failed. I have tried the NAS RAID recovery but it does not see the RAID drive. what can I do?

  3. I just hooked up my drives to my pc using standard SATA cables and two SATA power cables plugged into my power supply and it worked just like the video. I Have stated the recovery and it sees my files. I am in the process of paying the $200.00 dollars for the licenses. I will let everyone know if it works or not..
  4. buffalo uses Linux which is a free platform  and you can use the window version also you need to format in fat 32 so Linux and window can read it .. inside the nas is a regular hard drive there is no encryption
  5. Hi, I have a Buffalo Ministation 1TB External HD (HD-PNTU3) but the USB 3.0 connector pin has broken. I bought a new enclosure and plug the HD to it. However, my computer cannot recognized the HD and on the Disk Management, the HD status in not initialized but I don't want to initialize because my data in the HD will be gone. I think this is due to the hardware encryption which comes with the Buffalo HD. Can I use your software to recover my data by using the new enclosure that I bought? Can Ultimate license do the job?

Hi To the lovely Elena and Julia  Pakhomova and team, Thank-you for your software that allowed me to recover 750G of Data from my Raid 10 Intel Rapid Storage Raid volume.  After a bios Update my super quick i7-3970X booted to windows 8 before I could configure Bios for RAID, Windows 8 "touched the Drives". Ended up with 4 non-raid drives and Zero data, My auto backups had failed as well,  All's well NOW ;).

    Now going to fix Windows from auto touching drives or Raiding them with proper raid controller.  Or dump it for Linux. ;)

Здравствуйте девушка. хороший английский)  Я пока не являюсь обладателем сего девайса, но рассматриваю его как вариант для приобретения. имеется пара вопросов ответы на которые пока не нашёл в сети. у данного НАС есть режим питания Auto. Но как он действует на практике? Насколько я понял если он не видит ни одного компьютера в сети то он переходит в режим сна. Так ли это? если да то это не слишком полезно. В большой сети ему едва ли доведётся  поспать. А способен ли он останавливать жесткие диски в случае если к ним отсутствуют обращения в течении определенного времени и вновь пробуждать при поступлении очередного обращения так же как это можно настроить в обычном PC. Или диски в нём постоянно прибывают в рабочем режиме. Спасибо за ранее. (Семен)
