So what happens if the parity drive fails? How do you rebuild that?

Adobe Flash as a sponsor? Like the video.

Please put in written form also down side what ever u guys are doing so we can save it as a document file also. thanx

Cool subject... videos are way too long however. I really don't want to listen to you guys talk about past shows and this and that and have to wait 10-15 minutes before you get to the core of the subject at hand. No problem with hearing about sponsors... but would like the show to be more compact.

I have a Pentium 4 machine that can boot from a USB drive.

Is there any HBA's that don't cost more than my machine? I would like to set up a SAN. The rest of the hardware seems to be fairly cheap but HBA seems to be my biggest stopping point.

you need less sponsors

8 seconds in the video and already i'm thinking somebody needs to switch to decaf.

I miss this show. It inspired me to build my first PC.

Something like NAS4Free seems like a better choice to me.

I miss your show on TechTV! i used to watch it religiously

Old comment, but the 250GB drives don't repair it. You get another 1TB drive and reconstruct the parity drive from the existing data on the system. Or run a RAID1 for the parity drive.

Can I have 300 10mb hdds? Haha
-
I see black flag huh.

if you cant boot from usb: google plop boot manager boot from that first(via floppy, cd, ...) and then boot into whatever you want(like for example usb)
