Demo of hard drive data recovery. My Hard Drive Died dot Com DIY Videos - This is a complete rebuild of a hard drive, moving platters and heads as a demo. This is how it is done and I stop and show the camera how each item is moved and rebuild. I have a lot of clients ask in the classes I teach for Data Recovery Forensics how this is done and wanted video of this process. So here it is. Understand that I teach classes on the whole process end to end, from selecting the hard drive for a donor to how the heads work and how to move them safely and realign them.     3. Aşama : Aşağıda denenen yöntemler yurtdışı ülkelerinde denenir. Bunlar Pakistan, Hindistan, İsrail gibi ülkelerdir. Her bir yöntem 2 hafta sürer, diskin dönüşü 90 gün civarıdır. Data cihazında tamamen çizik olması, data cihazının içinin açılması ve sıvı temas gibi bilgi kurtarması zor sayılacak durumlarda yurtdışına müşterinin isteği doğrultusunda gönderilir.

    AÇIKLAMALAR :
    1-) Sonuç belli olmadığı sürece müşteri aranmaz, müşterinin de aramaması gerekir. Bilgi kurtarma işlemi zaman alacak ve meşakatlı bir çalışmadır. İşlem devam eder iken müşterinin işlem zamanlarında cihazın durumu ile ilgili aranılmamalıdır.
    2-) Data cihazı firmamıza geldiğinde Arıza tespit ücreti 40 TL. alınır. Cihazın arıza tespiti, fiyatın yüksek çıkması veya yarım kalan bilgi kurtarma işlemi devam etmesi müşteri tarafından istenmediğinde arıza tespit ücreti kesin alınmaktadır.
    3-) Data cihazı yaptırılmak istenir ise, arıza tespit ücreti alınmaz. Cihaz bilgi kurtarma rakamına eklenmez.
    4-) Cihaz Laboratuara gittiğinde arıza tespit ücreti 80 TL, yurtdışına gönderildiğinde 120 TL' dir.
    TAVSİYELER :
    1-) Data cihazınız bilgi okumadığında, okuması için zorlamayınız.
    2-) Data cihazının içini kesinlikle açmayınız, açıldığında bilgi erişimi zora düşmektedir.
    3-) Data cihazınızı bilinçsiz kişilere elletmeyiniz. Data kurtarma işi zora düşebilir.
    4-) Bilhassa Harddisklerde kart değişimi yaparak bilgileri kurtarmaya çalışmayınız.
    5-) Data cihazınızın bilgileri hazır olunca herhangi bir usb disk, flash bellek getirmeyi unutmayınız.
    DATA CİHAZININ BOZULMA SEBEBLERİ :
    1-) Data cihazına Gereğinden fazla sık-sık format atmak.
    2-) Data cihazının aşırı tozlu ve nemli ortamlarda bulunması.
    3-) Data cihazını okuma veya yazma durumunda iken elektrik kesilmesinden dolayı arızalanması.
    4-) Data cihazının yere düşmesi, sallanması, sıcak ortamda bulunması.
    5-) Data cihazında arada bir bad sector kontrolü yapılmadığından sektorlerin çoğalması
    Daha birçok sayılamayacak kadar çok sebeplerden arızalanmasıdır.
  7. I would be concerned abouth putting down the device you are showing at 5:07, when the fixture is vibrating the drives.
  8. If donor drives are required and drive was from 2010 then how will any new drives exist?? where to buy or does it have to be exact I model and DCM????

  14. my 1tb samsung HD103UJ won't spinup, the head is not stick on the plate . after 50 sec i see a little movment on the spindle with a half ms pitch sound. whats wrong. bad motor or dead bearing ? or a burned chip ?
  15. really, Scott Moulton is professional in his work and traning.
    I finished training in data recovery with him today for one week.

    I recovered 4 HDD out of 6 successfully.
  16. Do you need exactly the same model or can you swap plates from one disk to another one with the same capacity and perhaps an other brand or model nr?
  17. Also, why are you platter swapping when the problem is with the read/write heads? That's taking one problem and adding three more on top of it. You should have only moved the actuator assembly over to the donor. Only time to move platters is if the motor is completely failed or the bearing is seized and can't be freed up.

    This is just shameful bad practice. Sorry to say. I really hope this wasn't an actual customer drive you were working on.

At RecoveryForce.com, just like most professional data recovery labs, the last thing we want to do is move the platter(s).  This way we avoid any balance and alignment issues which may impact the read performance.  That said, we can only assume that this process was only done for demo purpose and is not a real life example.
