  8. You only solve 1 problem out of 4 , I still have Sony 8mm , VHS-C and mini-DV . And I don't have any device to run them any way

  11. I have a home video recording that is about 8 hours long. What would the quality be like, I've heard there are sync issues if a recording is longer than 2 hours? Thanks.

  14. i used my phone camera to convert my family vhs library.. just set my galaxy s5 on tripod in front of 42 plasma tv, zoomed to fit tv in frame, let the camera record with auto settings...i am stunned by how much improving the camera did to the crappy vhs footage, it got rid of tons of grainy stuff and looks very good in comparison, give it a try! i used google photos to move the videos from my camera to pc, fast and easy

  17. It's not illegal to copy movies you own on video from one format to another. It is only illegal to distribute the copy right material.
  18. does that connector from your VHS player to your computer disable copy guard as well?.
  19. What's weird is the RCA's on this El Gato device are female. Why aren't they male so they can plug directly into your VHS Recorder?? Now you also have to purchase a male to male RCA just to connect the unit to the VHS. Odd choice in design of this product.
