CNET.com's Kara Tsuboi takes us inside an Amazon fulfillment center in Tracy, Calif., to watch the robots in action.

  4. I did a welding job for the factory where they make these. it's pretty cool seeing a hundred or so of them in the testing area. and they use them to move materials around during the building process

  17. I work for the company who develops AutoStore who is a competing system. While the Kiwa robots may look a bit cooler than ours they waste an insane amount of space. In a warehouse air is usually what occupy the most space and our system is very compact as it works from the top and down. Both systems have their pros and cons of course, but have a look at our system too, you might be surprised :)
