Could not reconnect all network drives

Windows 7 doesn't reconnect network drives at boot. Simply clicking the drive restores the connection. Applications that depend on resources on a network drive will fail at start. For example if you store Roboform data on a network share, Roboform will not function until you open Windows Explorer and click the network resource.

Thank you. Solved!
-
i tried this but it doesn't work
-
Edit: I spoke to soon. Doesn't make a difference in my Win7 Ult.
Still geting the popup. -
I made this video to demonstrate a problem I was having. In summary the only way I could remedy it was assign Windows a static IP.
-
Not good at showing exactly what he is doing. Your supposed to watch as he clicks and types very fast.
-
Seems like this situation is more of a DNS resolver issue, hence static IP works around the issue. I have a similar issue but sadly the issue is present even on static IP. Might be due to SSD booting up faster than the win7 services can register the drives.

thank you for taking the time to share the solution. I'll try out on xp

Doesn't work in Windows 7, sorry.
-
Sorry friend - way beyond me. Where can I find a non-geek explanation please?
-
its just windows trying to map before the network is ready, no big issue just delay the mapping of the drive before windows fully boots up
-
Thanks, it worked for me.

You've lost me on the defult gateway and DNS settings. What assigns my computer theses numbers and where do I find them. Thanks :)

Used to have a fixed IP on my (Windows 10) PC and removed that a while ago. Removed it and started to get the "Could not reconnect all network drives'. I did not notice it immediately and have been looking for a solution ever since.
The message has disappeared just now by returning to a fixed IP. Thanks for this simple but very useful solution. -
Thanks. One tip: Your video title made me think it was going to be a recording of the problem without a solution. You might benefit from indicating somewhere that you intend to show how to fix it. Quite hilariously, I also jumped to the end of the video where you show that the problem is reproducible and so I really did think it it was just a video of you showing how Windows 7 doesn't work correctly. LOL If it wasn't for the "thanks" comments below I wouldn't rewinded to find out.

I wish Windows could restart as fast as this in reality :)
