In this video I will show you how make your own Windows 10 Bootable Recovery Partition that will allow you to restore your operating system with a fresh install of windows from the boot menu when your computer boots up this way you wont have to have a Windows DVD or USB stick in case the computer crashes this method is good for people who dont own a USB or DVD

  1. Hi, I decided to leave a note -- this procedure does not create recovery but installation partition.

Recovery partition assumes that at recovery you will have all software installed and configured (as it came from OEM).

This procedure simplifies installation of Windows 10 if the system get corrupted on condition that boot manager is still alive.

But it is not much different that if you have copied installation media in new partition which you could name as "Win 10 install" instead of "Recovery".

The bad side of this approach is that you have to install all software, all updates for Windows and software -- which takes quite a lot of time.

  3. Thanks Haig ... so grateful :)
  4. GREAT !!!

    Thank you for this ...
Following your video I made something different.
I made a Macrium Reflect Bootable Partition on drive R: with a folder in which I can place an IMAGE of my complete installed Windows System. So I can recover from my last installation in case of the standard first Windows installation.
After updates or changes in my installation, I make a new Image-file in the Image-folder on drive R:, so when something si going wrong, I have my last Windows setup ....

    But now the next question:
I have a Multoboot USB full of great utilities from which I make an ISO
    It's made with Easy2Boot, a great utility.
I want to make another partition, to boot from that as well .....
Please can you help me ??

  17. I am having an issue with trying to reformat my pc back to default settings, (I used to have win 7 and I upgraded to win 10) When I try to reformat everything is fine until I reboot and it asks to choose a language and my keyboard and mouse stops working, it works in bios but when it gets to that point it doesn't work. I am curious if this way will fix that issue.
  18. this worked well, is there a way to hide the boot menu unless a function key is pressed like the OEM recovery partitions. also, the recovery partition is now visible in windows explorer, how do I hide it?
  19. I was so confused about what I wanted to do before this video! Thankfully you told me what I wanted to do thousands of times! ;)

Jokes aside, thanks for the video.
