  1. It depends. If your computer is a newer Windows 8 computer with UEFI (replaces BIOS) then use the Password Reset X64. If your computer is a Windows 8 computer and still uses a BIOS (most older computers) then you can use PCWin Recovery.

  5. so this would be used if you forgot the password to your computer. i have an ibm thinkpad (supposedly unbrakable passwords) but i dont password to it. all i can do is sit at the sign in screen and my only options are to enter my password or shutdown. if i pop in this CD it will override the password? or recover it?
