  3. If you got a recovery disk from manufacture will it have the windows 8 key?
  4. why is that when i check the "copy the recovery partition to the recovery drive" it then ask for a 8gig usb stick. if i dont check it, it only need 512 meg. what is the differences? also i cant seem to make a recovery DVD with this method. it only ask for usb. Thanks you

  11. I heard shadow copies are not reliable....
  12. So if I am correct, if I replace my old hard drive with a new one, I should be able to restore the Windows 8 operating system to the new hard drive with the USB Recovery I just made when I boot up in the bios settings to USB. It should reformat the drive and re-install the drivers. Thanks!
