  7. When I do what is on this video it gives me an error saying there are no files in recovery partition how can I re-install the files in the recovery partition? I have a set of recovery disks that dell sent me but when I do the recovery it says it can't and doesn't give me a reason. Please help because Dell won't cover this because I didn't get the software warranty just the basic hardware warranty. Dell sucks and I will not buy their product again. This is the operating system to me it is hardware because without it it won't run.
  8. Sadly, i didnt have the chance to see the message that everything on my hard external disk would be erased... Any solution? The warning should appear at the very beginning of the process of saving... We are not all pros of informatic stuffs, the dell software tells me to make a save on an external disc without saying anything about the partition done, i believe it and do it... So angry...
  9. Why can't I just save the backup image to a file on my current hard drive or network drive? Why do I have to buy a big 32 gig USB drive or haul 4 DVD disks around with me? Is there a way to just save the disc image backup file to a location of my choosing?
  10. how big does the USB flash drive have to be for Windows 8?
  11. why the "Reinstall disk" tile is missing ?!?!?
  12. I recently upgraded my computer to Windows 8.1 and upgraded the backup and recovery software as well.  How do I make a USB restore stick with Windows 8.1 on it?

  16. I attempted to download Dell Backup And Recover several times. Each time the process was interrupted and failed. I have 11 months to figure this out as my current contract ends on the 1st of May 2015. However, I would like to make the upgrade now. Any thoughts?
  17. +Golden Lemon Productions
dvd-r's are 4.7 gigs in size.
    thanks
  18. How much gigabytes does the dvds have to have each?
  19. Gosh I'm glad they made this video. My new  Inspiron 15R has the program but all the titles are variations on "IDS_DS_xxx". Seeing the pictures helped me translate the gibberish into English. From that I figured out I need 4 DVDs: IDS_BURN_001 thru 004. This is why ordinary people hate computers. Guess one of the WIN 8.1 updates scrogged Dell's software, Great design guys/gals!
  20. This doesn't work if the new drive is smaller then the original drive. Will this be overcome in the next version of Dell Backup and Recovery Software?
