Hard drive failure can happen due to many different factors and most common physical issues occur due to power surges and human error. In fact human error is the leading cause of HDD failure. Toshiba aside from typical problems (head damage, bad sectors, and failed PCB), unlike any other hard drive manufacturer, has a very unique failure related to the FDB (Fluid dynamic bearing). FDB provides movement/rotation of the hard drive platters, so when bearings fail -- disks stop or experience difficulty rotating at required speed. When that happens the hard drive is not recognized, so there is no access to data. So how do we perform Toshiba HDD recovery? Lets find out. First, in order to recover data from laptop that failed we would need to confirm that the failure is actually related to the FDB of the hard drive. If your laptop suddenly stopped working, and your hard drive is not being detected in BIOS you would need to remove the drive from the laptop. We will not be getting into the topic of how to remove the hard drive from the laptop simply because most of them have different approach. I must say that most of the laptops have external access to the hard drive, so pulling out the hard drive is a simple task usually done by removal of few screws. Second, we need to eliminate any other problems with the hard disk before proceeding with the technique that we describe in this video. Troubleshooting can be done with help of the hard drive adapter. As you can see in our case we had an IDE 2,5" adapter to attach our hard drive for testing. Listen to the sounds that the hard drive is producing when it is powered on. Following are rough symptom descriptions: - Powered no spinning no sound at all (silent) -- dead PCB or blown fuse - Drive spins up but not recognized -- bad sectors or partition corruption - Drive spins up and clicks -- read/write head damage or contamination - No spinning but with slight ticking/beeping/pulsing -- bearing issue - Spins and stops with lots of noise -- bearing issue Well, our video is directly targeted for Toshiba HDD recovery of bearing issue. Once we have confirmed that based on the sounds the issue is in fact with the bearing, we can move onto actual data recovery process. To perform successful Toshiba HDD recovery and extract data from laptop hard drive with failed bearing we will need to get following tools: - SMD rework station (we use Hakko 850D, but any rework with proper nozzle size will do) - USB adapter for your laptop drive, preferably with external power supply that you can switch on and off when needed. - Imaging equipment is highly preferred (Data Extractor, DDI, Salvation Data...) - If you do not have imaging device, then you can try using data recovery software that has an option for imaging (R-studio for example) Remember that this technique is only related to Toshiba laptop hard drives that have difficulty spinning up. Exact steps to this laptop data recovery process you will find in the video. 1. Mine is the same 40gb hardisk toshiba my laptop is not working now so I need to recover date any know the adapter for it which converts it USB any one sent me its link to buy it
  2. this may sound a bit stupid but couldnt the manufacturers make hdd,s with servicable motors?
  3. if you regularly back up your drive , you don't have to bother with this.
  4. very nice ..
    i like u vedios .

plX me 1 vedio and show Step By Step how to make Mobile Charger and He work . complete vedio with microscope .
i shall be very thanksfull for this vedio
  5. do not believe him this is totaly fake, because every HDD pcb or the circuit board has a BIOS chip which save the information about that particular HDD so juct swaping the PCB did not do the trick you have to change the BIOS chip also ,and in that case also the chances are 50 50.i have changed alot of PCBs in that mater nothig worked.
  6. Круто объяснил!
  7. what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dude i was stressing coz i dropped my friennds HD and it was not working, i just used my mouth to produce Hot air and it worked! wow thanx Man..let me subscribe.
  8. el data D de mi laptop toshiba me aparece lleno está el hddrecovery como hago para vaciar el data o es necesario dejarlo alli?
  9. you are the best
  10. Anyone watching this video should be aware that this issue is only common on very old 40Gb and smaller Toshiba drives. Heating the bearing on any modern Toshiba will only result in more damage.
  11. Can you please tell me how to transfer data in that bcz i find this drive in my new car. And I don't know how to transfer data
  12. $1600 to fix a harddrive? Hell naw. I'd rather lose all my data lmao. Good video though. I hope I'll never have to do that. I just got a brand new HP with a Toshiba HDD. It's only been 2 months before it started showing signs of failure... I'm going to back it up and replace it soon enough but this is just disappointing... Windows boot up is taking 10-15 minutes and read/write speeds never exceed 10 MB/s with an average of 1MB/s. Why toshiba why. I'm never buying a laptop with a toshiba drive from now on.
  13. WOW.... Toast-shit-back (toshiba)
  14. WARNING : please do not open your hard disk .. these all videos are made for jus fooling you really. i opened and after i took it to reapir shop then they said your media is damaged ....dont even try to touch the head of hard disk that is where you damage it plz... i had to pay for it but you dont make this mistake
  15. my hard drive spines very well without bad sound, but refuse to show up on the system...please help
  16. so while heating is on you can transfer your data are you saying?
  17. I've had a Toshiba laptop for six years.  And for as long as I can remember it has always been making a clicking noise.  Only in the past couple months has the computer shown signs of hard drive failure. I've never had a laptop come as loud as it did.  I've been suspecting that its something to do with the actuator arms but I'm not entirely sure.  When the drive is running I hear a clicking sound and its pretty loud.
  18. Please help me to my 1TB HDD MK1059GSM Drive spins up but not recognized.. how to resolve my issue?? is there's a way ti fix it? or I need to scrap it?

    Thanks..
  19. В РФ есть такие компании по восстановлению данных с Toshiba  1.5TB Canvio 3.0 Portable Hard Drive - Black (HDTC615XK3B1) или только отправлять Вам в Канаду?
  20. My Toshiba downloaded some Windows updates in August and started rolling through the recovery sequence. Couldn't run the repair even though I got to the screen (Win8). HD is not clicking, i tried to hook an external HD kit to another computer and i see the data but it freezes when i try to copy it. Any suggestions?
