If you need professional data recovery services, visit https://acsdata.com or call 1-800-717-8974. Do it yourself hard drive repair and data recovery on a Seagate 750GB hard drive. ***WARNING*** This is NOT recommended for situations where you are trying to recover critical, irreplaceable data. The chances of permanent data loss are extremely high. In this video we show you the process for transplanting hard disk platters from a hard drive with a damaged spindle motor. We made an effort to do this using simple tools to show that it could be done. We DO NOT recommend this method at all for those who have important data that needs to be recovered. Please note, this process only works with 7200.10 model Seagate hard drives. Do not attempt on any other model Seagate drive, or any other brand hard drive...especially Western Digital. Hard drive data recovery is much more involved than what can be shown in simple videos like this. Professional data recovery requires the ability to not only properly diagnose your failed hard drive, but also having the right equipment. Clean rooms for data recovery are not as critical as having the proper knowledge and experience. In addition, having proper software for imaging is crucial. After the platter swap in this video, this is absolutely no way this drive would have been accessible on a computer, no matter how it was attached. The drive had many areas where it really struggled to image completely, and our Deepspar Disk Imager is one of the few tools on the market that intuitively knows how to handle unreadable sectors without pushing the hard drive to its limit.

  3. 48:28 DEAR GOD, HE WENT UNDERWATER. Stop worrying about the video AND KICK MAN. KICK! Your life is more important than finishing the video!
  4. Good god man, get to the point. "Don't do this on irreplaceable data." MOVE ON. Everyone else to 8:51.
  5. i am getting ready to attempt this same swap and will be using the hand made plastic inserts to open the heads b4 moving them off the platters. i have made a practice move of the heads (Iomega 500GB External Drive) and find that the heads to not move all the way off the platters, but stop on the edge, making it impossible to remove the platters unless I remove the heads completely. I am hoping to not have to do that. I want to move the heads of both sets of platters from 2 identical drives, and then swap the platters. Can someone advise if there is a way to get the heads all the way off the platters w/o having to remove them physically from the drive?
  6. before you start, when you just OPEN the case, there is a high chance of the disk is not working (it very risky to even attempt to fix it) (it very recommended you to buy SSD)
  7. nice
  8. Can you carry out this procedure on a Hard Drive which is not being recognised by any computer because it has a flashing light?
  9. I'm scared I'm gonna loose all my anime what is the most secure way to store video.
  10. So if someone has missed the point. DON'T DO THIS IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR DATA!
  11. Dude, do you need to spend ten minutes on a disclaimer?!?!? Get over it...that's crazy, WE GET THE IDEA!!!!!!
  12. You are typically a doctor ..please accept my greetings
  13. Interesting video. Quick question as I can't find much info on the actual cause of the problem despite seeing a lot of people mention it.

I have a Seagate 3TB drive ( actually I have 3 of them) which were all in external drives. The symptom is that they start to spin up, make a subtle clicking/beeping sound for maybe 10 seconds, then it powers down. The drive no longer fully initialise and can't be seen by PC.

I'm sure you have come across this problem, especially with this 3TB Seagate, do you know what the actual case of this is? All of the HD issues I have seen online seem to be either stuck heads or blown motors, this doesn't seem to be either. Thanks.
  14. Nice Job, very nice job
  15. mine is a 3TB which was damaged by falling down and when i plug it it just clicks and is not displayed on the computer . Is there hope?
  16. can any 2.5" hdd's header fit to any same size HDD or is there any specific one. Actually my HDD having header problem & I want replace it.
  17. do not do this on your own... have someone alongside you while you destroy your data🤣 but seriously I would only try this on an old hard drive that I would use on test bench machine.
  18. Wow what a coincidence all the previous videos i have seen have been seagate/maxtor drives and this has nothing to do with my maxtor failing and searching this brand.
