How to recover unsaved documents includes DEMONSTRATION. This is an example on WINDOWS 8 but it should work on ANY WINDOWS. I used Word 2013 as an example (works with Word 2003, 2007, 2010) This worked for me, I hope it helps you. The Location: C:\Users\Rajiv\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\UnsavedFiles you must change "Rajiv". Watch the video for details. OTHER LOCATIONS: C:\Users\Rajiv\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office C:\Users\Rajiv\AppData (watch video on replacing “Rajiv”) C:\Users\Rajiv\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Word\ (same again with replacing "Rajiv") THEN in the search box for the whole app data folder just type in "autosave" or the document name and hopefully yours comes up. If not, try just part of the document name. C:\Users\Rajiv\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\UnsavedFiles (same, change name)

  17. Hey I think I found my file but when I tried to open it, it came out....well, not as english anymore. I don't speak computer but I'm pretty sure it spat out my essay as computer gibberish. Any advice?

  19. getting really tired of Microsoft and being bullied from not being able to using the things in the folder such as temp folder ... i used to be able to do any thing back in the day of win95 .... i think they are getting worse then better to find half your stuff have to be a programmer ..lawd might as well use linux win 8.1 automatically restarts it self when updating your stuff and dont have a chance to save folder or note then you cant find them ..grrr it a pain
