This videos leaves the usual theme of the channel, but I thought it would be helpful. After upgrading to OSX El Capitan, I found all my Mail messages were gone. Restoring my computer to my back-up did not restore them. You need to restore the folder manually. This is how to restore them.

Thank you for this. It seemed to work all the way until the last step. When I clicked on rebuild they all disappeared. Any suggestions or should I just head for the genius bar?

Hi ElectricDade. I have recovered the inbox a few times through Time Machine and I get a notice saying restoring 822 mails. Once it is done, there is no mailbox that says Time Machine so I have no idea where the mails were recovered too. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your video.
