Zeth from http://www.bloggingreviews.com I had a similar problem to what a bunch of people here said and still checking online for solution. I have Windows 7 and was using a WD external hard drive. When I plugged it in to any of my USB ports, I get this popup that the device wasn't recognized or it may be defective or it may ever say anything.And won't show the device or drive. I was pretty worried and confused. Searched all over the internet and forums. used many softwares , changed the usb cables ,but of no use.Finally my fellow friend ,who is PC technician put together a couple solutions and solved it! Let me show you exactly that.

  4. DO I have to initialize the disk first? Will i lose all the data if I do this? I pulled this HD out of a laptop and slapped it int the hard drive enclosure, so I could recover the data.

    F:\ is not accessible.
    The parameter is incorrect.

  13. I've been using a seagate 2tb external hardrive on my xbox one and the other day it wasn't being recognized by the xbox. I then plugged it into my laptop and it would light up and spin fine but it wouldn't be recognized by the lap top either. Would this help with it being recognized on the xbox again?

  15. this work when the disk is corrupted too? I turned my computer off by mistake when my external was loading a file then when I rebooted windows keeps asking me to format the drive.. I'm not formatting shit lol.. I have very important shit on there... changing the drive letter does not damage the disk?

  20. Instead of cliicking ADD, click on CHANGE and you should get an option to change the drive letter..........
