First I plugged the Seagate Backup Plus Portable 1 TB, For Mac and Pc, on my Acer Aspire 7750G (Windows 7) to make sure it worked. After that I gave it to 2 different friends to dump some files off their Macs. Then I plugged it into my PC and it did not show up on "My Computer". The computer recognized the External Hard drive and gave me the option to Safely Remove but that was exactly it. How to fix it: 1) Connect the Seagate External drive to the Windows Computer. 2) Go to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cb9GTQC-ZGY http://sh.st/CghGr (UPDATED 06.24.2016* It seems they removed the file from the website. You can download video: http://sh.st/Cgd4h) This is a Windows Driver to Allow Seagate "For Mac" Drives to Work on Windows (HFS4Win.exe) 3) Scroll to the bottom of the page and Click on [DOWNLOAD] 4) After it downloads, Install and follow the Wizard prompts to complete installation 5) Reboot the Computer 6) Go to My Computer, find your external Drive and do your victory dance.   2. hi MR i did downloaded the program and i did cmd command and i reach to step to write list volume and the list does not show my damaged xternal hard disk so and advice ?!!!!!!!!

  6. I have a 500GB hard drive and it isn't visible, however, I already have information on the drive and there are partitions with important information that I can't delete. How do I make the whole entire disk visible and access the data from "My Computer" without getting rid of the data on said partitions?

  9. Please help! I recently bought a 3TB Toshiba external hard drive. My TV (Samsung LCD) is not able to read it. Before this drive I was using a 1TB Verbatim ehd which worked perfectly. What to I need to do to get my new Toshiba ehd to be read by my TV?

If this video did not help you because you updated mac to new software update MAC OS SIERRA AND you have the SEAGATE HARD DRIVE (slim backup plus) heres the link to fix the problem http://www.seagate.com/support/software/paragon/ and heres the link to their official website to find the model of hard drive you have to update it link: http://www.seagate.com
    reason why you don't see the hard drive icon or image does not show up is because you need to update the Paragon Driver/NTFS diver get the news Paragon Driver the news update for MAC IS (MAC OS SIRRA) (IS VERSION 10.12) SEAGATE NEWS VERSION IS Paragon Driver for Mac OS (10.9. and above) this update makes everything go back to normal you just get a new icon for your hard drive on you desk top or i did at least my icon was just a gold/ yellow hard drive now its gray and standing vertical hope this helped YOU.

  15. hi. laptop can't see my buffalo external hard drive under devices & drives. the drive sounds as though it is working although the little light only comes on briefly - have changed the cables but no change. i'm using windows 10. any help would be appreciated.
