Here at XDA we spend a lot of time in our recoveries. Some of our tweaks, hacks, and mods require you to make changes to system files. That requires some pretty deep access. You can get to that access from recovery, like TWRP. However, the recovery file manager doesn’t feel like the Android file managers. XDA Recognized Developer amarullz offer up an app that lets you have a fully functional file manager in your recovery. In this video XDA TV Producer TK reviews AROMA File Manager. TK shows off the application, its uses, functionality and talks about his thoughts of this must have application. Check out this app review. 7. good recovery file manager
  8. very cool...but not really a "app"
  9. This is huge! Great find! Must have app
  10. Can we help to translate?  I've been hoping for something like that for a long time.
  11. Looks quite nice, but if somebody doesn't understand something as basic as chmod, they really shouldn't be messing with files through recovery.
  12. doesn't work with my sprint note 4 .. bummer
  13. I brought Logitech Powershell controller for $15 Injustice runs exactly the same graphics on iPod 5G (it has 4S internals) as it runs on Snapdragon 800 based LG G2! SHOCKING! Android optimization is so poor. I wanna buy a refurbished iPhone 5S now..gaming with game controller is just amazing. Android game controllers just don't have this snug fit
  14. chmod *755... also will this work on safestrap?
  15. Most command line chmod(1) programs support user (u), group (g), other (o), all (a), add (+), remove (-), set absolutely (=), read (r), write (w), execute/search (x), sticky (t), setuid/setgid (s) notation.  So for examples, "chmod a+x somefile" adds making a file executable for everyone, "chmod go= afile" removes all permissions for group and other (leaving only permissions for owner, whatever they were before), "chmod u=rwx,g=rx,o=x somedir" would set somedir to everything for the owner, group being able to list the directory, and everyone else needing to know what's there but can still access it, and "chmod +t /tmp" would set the sticky bit on /tmp.  It's a vast improvement over needing to know all those octal numbers, what they mean, and knowing how to combine them.

If TWRP doesn't implement that, golly, it should.  It's soooooooo much easier to use.
  16. Is USB otg will work with that file manager in recovery..??
  17. It's a must have for me just in case stuff goes haywire lol. Curious if anyone knows this, is there an Aroma zip that allows you to edit documents/text files while within recovery?
  18. WONDERFUL!
  19. Twrp have a file manager
  20. is it compitible with htc one m7? if yes how to access to file manager ?
