  2. My External hard rive is a 2 TB Seagate Backup Slim Plus and it sticks to journal overtime i try to reformat it to ExFAT or MS DOS FAT.

    Could you help me out please?

  8. I just formatted my WD Passport Ulta to exfat to be able to back up files on my dying mac and transfer them to access on a Microsoft Surface. I see now that exfat is not compatible with TimeMachine. How can I meet this need and be able to back-up files and access them on my Windows device? Do I need to transfer the files I need (and not do a full backup?) Or can I partition my Passport and backup from Mac but not access on Windows? What do you recommend?
