  4. Guys for El Capitan this changes a little bit
    For generated UID is: sudo dscl . read /Users/<the user name youwant> generatedUID

  6. need a lot of help! i picked up an old powerpc G4 from my school, and single user mode and root access is disabled, so is booting into anything!! how can i get or crack the password WITHOUT the rot or admin password?

  7. Warning: detected hash type "raw-sha1", but the string is also recognized as "raw-sha"
    Use the "--format=raw-sha" option to force loading these as that type instead, then i have to click enter and it keeps guessing the password?? help
  8. Hey guys whenever I run john the ripper with my hash all I get is this:
    Loaded 2 password hashes with no different salts (LM DES [128/128 BS SSE2-16])
    guesses: 0 time: 0:00:00:03 (3) c/s: 28277K trying: NTO16D - NTO1IK
    guesses: 0 time: 0:00:00:04 (3) c/s: 31378K trying: GEBLD04 - GEBLVDY
    guesses: 0 time: 0:00:00:05 (3) c/s: 33340K trying: MMOEK31 - MMOFRTY

    and no even though it keeps running, no guesses are being made, any help?

  12. After typing the command of (cat with the guid digits) it says "Permission Denied" what should i do with this?
  13. Can you make a tutorial for OS X Yosemite? 
  14. The "Access Single-User Mode When locked " tutorial worked perfect
    for a lost Admin Pass Word.The PRAM / NVRAM reset was the key. It makes / allows a second new Admin to override the first one and reset its password in Sys. preferences/ accounts. All the old stuff is still there it was not deleted as others have stated. Hack mac saved me lots of money.

  18. How do you know what the short name is?
  19. Does this work with min mac os 9 ?  it does not tell me if its a maverick, tiger, leopard or snow leopard?  Also I only have a guess account.
