  2. Okay thanks for the video it's easy to use, but what if the person you were chatting with deleted his/her chat? Can you send him/her your backup chat file to him/her so he/she can restore the chat?

  11. Umm, i have saved all my data in my SD card. But, when i moved the sd card and checked it in my new device, the LineBackup folder was empty. Can somebody tell my why?

  13. For people who are asking, or see no back up/restore, or back up is not successful:
    "Back up all" does NOT mean "back up all chat conversations with all friends", you need to back up chat history for each friend one by one. So, if you don't see "import chat history", it means there is no back up history file for that particular friend .
    So in a nutshell, 100 friends = 100 back up zip files. It's a Line thing, many people have complained, but unless you have a rooted phone, there's no way around it.
    Emailing backup to yourself is just an insurance. Before you even start, go to your SD card and make sure there is a "Line_backup" folder there. This folder can then be saved to another SD card or to your computer.
    Do all that before you even think about setting up Line on a new phone, because all your chats will be deleted as soon as you register your Line account on a new phone.
    Edit: even doing all of the above is not enough. After you saved the "Line_backup" folder to your SD card, you need to move the folder to "Phone Storage". Then Line will recognize it and show"Import Chat history".
    This also answers the question "why chat apps take up so much space". This is proof that they store chat history in Phone storage, not SD storage. When you move an app to SD, only the app moves, not the Data.

  15. its weird that in my phone, it only works when i move the back up file to internal storage. its failed when the file was in SDcard/backup

    either way, as long as it works, lol
