  1. Unless you know for a fact you are going to have files bigger than 4GB, then format is fat32. fat32 can be read across multiple Operating systems including Linux, Macs, etc. That is the reason why USB are fat. If you know you are going to be stuck using windows, then NTFS has it's benefits.

  11. when you say Build, I was hoping you meant you knew how to make the adapter or wire one up, not buy one and insert the hard drive. I know you can find them cheep but it would still be nice to know how to MAKE one or BUILD one. I bet most of the dislikes are because of this. If anyone knows anything bout Making one let me know

  16. +babbling boolean i have an old computer and laptop with windows 98 and windows xp. do i really have to formate the drives for me to use them. both computers dont turn on but hard drives are big and i wish to get old files from both hard drive
