I got an email from Yahoo a couple of months ago about the possibility of being hacked.Last week I stopped receiving email to my Yahoo account on my cell phone.I was told to log in to my desktop, follow the instructions and fix the problem.After two days of getting no where and just changing my Verizon password because my Yahoo account is locked, I decided to call Yahoo who informed that Russia had hacked my computer and that they could fix it and moniter it for up to $250 for 6 months.I have Verizon Internet Sec Suite and even though I pay $10 monthly for this sevice, they said run a scan and if u find a problem...call us back.

i saw a video on You Tube & there
was a 3 step way to go into your
Yahoo accnt.
try looking into "Hacking Yahoo"
if that might help. i changed my
accnt it just takes time to reset it. -
spent a day and a half to get into yahoo mail to change password but not into yahoo messenger to change password

i am unable to change my password it keeps saying I am using a name (which I am not!)- currently my account is being accessed across the globe - Iran, Japan, etc., etc. how do I change my damn password!!!!

Just ran across this info and very good instructions but what do you do if they change your phone number It shows the last two numbers of what is supposed to be mine and I have never had a phone number with those two last numbers...I can't get into my account period!!!!! Any light you can shed is greatly appreciated

hey bro i keep getting a call and they say that someone is logging into my yahoo account and that they are using my account to steal money or something and when i ask them questions about it they seem kind of shady and i did do that recent activity thing and its normal says no one has signed in from anywhere other then the state i live in so should i talk to these "yahoo" people

It happened to me today - I closed my yahoo after taking security steps grrr, thanks man good info :)
My spam mails have gone down to 2 - 3 emails now compared to my previous 20 to 50 spams a day... and those 'real' spams are gone! Thank you Yahoo!
However, my hotmail is now getting spoof to broadcast their nefarious products and services. It is so alarming and annoying to get spams: From: "Me", To: "Me'.
I've notified my contacts and changed my password already but those criminal emails are still coming in. I called them criminals because they stole my email address and used it to broadcast their nefarious activity.
The pain of the internet age. Sigh!
