  4. Thanks for this useful video.
I would like to upgrade to Sierra from 10.6.8 ( 2.3GHz, i5, 4GB memory) but not sure if these specs are enough to run it smoothly.
Will it be not slow after installing Sierra?
  5. Hello. I'm doind this process right now and I have a doubt: I'm at the terminal part, after I paste the code from that website and the terminal ask for the password to unlock my mac. Well, the thing is that I typed the password, but it didn't show the password, nor even those dots that represent the password. It was like the keyboard wasn't respondind. Anyway I typed the password, only once, and moved on to the next step and now it is copying installer files to disk. But I'm afraid that when it tries to unlock the computer it won't work. Did I do it right? Thanks in advance.
  6. Thank you for this. As a new MacBook Pro user, from Windows, I will keep this information for when needed. It is much more involved than a Windows clean install, but your detailed instruction looks clear. Subscribed.
  7. You are a wonderful instructor, well spoken. Question...I bought a refurbished iMac 2011 and the store did wipe the computer. It has 10.12.3 Sierra but the ID and password were set up by the store tech. Do I need to start over and do my own clean install addressing the ID and password issue along with apple ID or can i set up this iMac without redoing a clean install? Thanks for your awesome presentation.
  8. While installing sierra, I was stuck at 6 seconds remaining for around 10 minutes.

  13. hey man hoping you could help me out! you seem to know what your doing and I'm kinda lost updating my MacBook pro 13inch.

So my MacBook is from 2012 and it's very slow now. so I bought a 850 Evo SSD and now I'm trying to figure out how to properly install a new/fresh/clean version of the latest Mac software version. Do I follow your steps? or do I have to do something different?

I already backed up my photos and files onto a external hard drive. hoping I could just wipe the computer, then open up the MacBook, add my new SSD and then install the newest version without restoring my files! help! I'm making this way harder then it looks I think
  14. This is a great video. No skipping or assuming things from your viewer. Really well done. Thank you.
  15. Hey great video!
Bit of a problem though. After the macOS install, the screen reads, "macOS could not be installed on your computer on your computer. an internal error has occurred"
It then prompts me to restart the computer.
