  3. Can you show the Mac side of this to show the steps you took to get it to boot?

    I have completed all of these steps and tried with both .dmg and .iso files.. on the Mac i have tried to simply start the machine and let it run, that does not work. I tried holding the alt key but it only brings up the single hard drive and does not show the USB, finally I have tried the disk utility but all instructions I have found require you to click "partition" on the disk utility which is not selectable for me.

    I have tried, not using transmac, to partition the USB and put the .dmg file on the partitioned USB, brought it back to the Mac, opened disk utility, and still the partition button it not selectable.

    What steps do you need to take to actually get the .iso or .dmg to run from a mac that does not have any currently functioning OS.

Hello, i have download OS X El Capitan.dmg file which is 5.7GB, but you are using .iso file right, now i am facing problem with usb size, i have 8gb pen drive and i have successfully format with mac but when i am restoring image its asking me to insert 14 gb usb stick. why its asking more space when mac os image size is just 5.7gb and i have insert 8gb usb derive, please reply

  18. i have done all this but still my pc isnt able to read the usb... it just skips the usb while boot even though i manually try to boot into usb...(note: i have set the boot priorities correctly and my sata connection as ahci) pl help
