So plugg in the USB and click on the start button then search for cmd = command prompt and type in the following commands http://bit.ly/create_a_bootable_usb_for_windows now go ahead and extract the files from the windows 8 iso into the USB. Now shutdown your computer and once again plugg in the USB and open the BIOS then boot and search for boot device priority and make your USB at the top of this list and finally exit and save the settings an that's it.   7. I just want to clarify. With your method can I make a Windows 8.1 bootable Flashdrive on my Windows 8.1 laptop -- and then use that same Flashdrive to update my old Vista desktop to Windows 8.1 ?  No passkeys required?
