Follow me on Twitter! https://twitter.com/raybansnfedora 1) How to Download OSX EL CAPITAN: http://youtu.be/1AKkZrqqZuY 2) How to create a bootable USB of OSX EL CAPITAN: http://youtu.be/_JHkQwTSt0s 3) Partition your MAC Harddrive: http://youtu.be/8Y8BMTUYuSk 4) How to Clean Install OS X EL CAPITAN!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2IM-LFb7Xc3 Make an OS X El Capitan Beta Bootable Installer Drive 1.Connect the USB drive to the Mac and launch Disk Utility, then select the USB drive from the left side menu and go to the “Erase” tab. 2.Format the USB flash drive as “Mac OS Extended (Journaled)” and choose Erase to confirm the process – this formats the USB drive which will become the installer, be absolutely certain you have selected the right volume or you will lose data 3.Now go to the “Partition” tab and change the partition layout to “1 Partition”, then change the name of the partition to “ElCapInstaller” or another name of your choosing 4.Click on “Options” and select “GUID Partition Table”, and click “OK”, followed by “Apply”, then quit out of Disk Utility 5.Launch the Terminal application and paste the following string into the command line, if you changed the installer name “ElCapInstaller” to something else, be sure to adjust that in the syntax: OS X El Capitan: sudo su /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/ElCapInstaller --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app --nointeraction 6.Hit the Return key and enter the admin password when requested (this is necessary to use sudo), you’ll then see numerous progress indicators as the process completes, it will be finished when the last messages is “Done.” “Erasing Disk: 0%… 10%… 20%… 30%…100%… Copying installer files to disk… Copy complete. Making disk bootable… Copying boot files… Copy complete. Done.” 7.When completed, the USB bootable installer will be created and you have an OS X El Capitan installer drive, exit out of Terminal and you’re ready to go More than ever, Mac is the computer people love to use.     A error occurred erasing the disk.

  12. MAYBE NEXT TIME SAY THAT IT HAVE TO BE AT USB/HARDDRIVE THAT IS EMPTY BEFORE YOU TELL PEOPLE TO ERASE!!!!! I JUST LOST ALL OF MY OLD FILES ON MY PORTABLE HARDDRIVE!!!

  14. Is there a way to do this preparation on Windows and then copy Max OSX onto the USB to install on a Mac?

  19. I really wonder why disk utility on my mac is different from yours.
  20. I was able to erase sd but not partition (would not  let me click). Everything worked with terminal and the install is now on SD card...Will I be able to do the clean install once I swap out the hard drive for the ssd even though it did not let me click on the partition?
