How to delete mysterious 'other' data from your iPhone and iPad

There's nothing more frustrating than seeing that your iPhone, iPod or iPad is getting full. Especially when you see that a lot of room is actually taken up by "other" and it just seems to grow bigger over time. Well in today's handy video I'm going to show you a few quick methods to clear your phone of un-neccessary files, so you've got more room for your favourite album.   1. This did not gain any space under the "Other" category. It did gain space in "Documents and Data" and "Apps" categories, so it worked somewhat, but I don't understand why the "Other" category was not affected. My "Other" space is taking 7.99GB!!

  4. A clean sweep is the absolute worst option if you have lots of music on your phone, as a backup doesn't restore that; and, if it does, it literally takes HOURS UPON HOURS for the songs to be reuploaded.

  17. useless. the only way to delete other data without Erase is Jailbreaking.
  18. I have 3GB of other data. I've done all the following including a hard reset in this video and it only took out 1GB. 2 GB is still a serious amount for me, so what are the next steps?
