Click on File Click Excel Options Click Add-Ins Disable one by one add-in and try to open Excel as you normally do.   10. It was Microsoft Visual C++ install which I had to uninstall rather than doing above.

  14. Thanks for this...the ABBYY add-in was the culprit. Disabled these and Word and Excel work fine now.

  16. Thanks!!! The other video's that I was using to try to fix this problem, they did not use, or explain very well, the COM ADD-ins menu selection, in Manage Add-ins, to show how to fix this problem. Thanks again for the useful information with music :-).
