When i am trying to delete the Microsoft Folder in the 'Program Data'. I am getting 'Folder Access Denied' Window. You need permission to perform this action. You require permission from SYSTEM to make changes to this folder. Solution: Delete all the usernames or groups, including SYSTEM from the security tab. Change owner as your computer user account. Also, replace owner on subcontainers and objects. Enable inheritance and then try deleting the folder. This time you can delete the folder without the error 'Folder Access Denied'. If the folder is used by any other programs, then you will get the message 'Folder In Use' The action can't be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program. For such cases, close the folder or file and try again.

  1. no everyone option
  2. there is no security option in my windows 10
  3. Everything was working and then I get to "replace all child object PERMISSION entries with inheritable permission entries from this object" and it says unable to save changes access is denied
  4. I've been trying to delete all the files in SoftwareDistribution folder for Fast Ring Insider Preview Updates. I could not delete the DeliveryOptimization folder due to the "Folder Access Denied" issue described here. But instead of following these instruction to change ownership of the folder, I simply (after much head-scratching) went to the Properties dialog box for the C: drive, chose Disk Cleanup, and then checked off all the boxes. Don't forget to also use the System Files button to access those choices, too. MUCH simpler and safer
  5. I CANT DO ANYTHING AFTER I DID ALL STEPS
  6. Thanks it really helped!!
  7. this is goes for only one folder? its not gonna effect anything else right?

  9. I can only view

  17. Thank you. You helped me recover the space stollen by GOW 4. I thought Windows 10 would of been able to find Windows Apps again like how steam can recover all its games after a windows reinstall if they are on another hard drive. No. No it cannot. So I was stuck with its terrible massive 80 gig folder I couldnt get rid of until now.

So I had to change it to Administrators for some reason and that worked.

Only gay thing is downloading it all again over a VDSL connection.
