  12. DO NOT follow the method of using a card or paper to forcibly eject the CD. I tried this method when I had the same problem and now my laptop has stopped working. I can't log on anymore and I'm pretty sure all of my hard earned data, work and effort has been lost over a period of a whole year. DO NOT let this video deceive you!

  19. yes it worked!!!! my iMac could startup because the inserted cdrom stopped te startup proces!!! During startup i inserted two creditcards (and the first time 3 playingcards) and stop the cd from spinning. the first time the disc came out after...say 5 seconds) the second time it happend it took a few attempts to let the computer spit the dick out....what a relief because all the cmd-r etc shortscuts didn't work. so many thanks.
  20. /usr/bin/drutil eject! Brilliant - it worked! Thank you!
