*** WARNING *** Formatting a disk will cause all the file to be erased so be sure to back up your files somewhere else before performing this *** WARNING *** This is a quick tutorial on how to format your External Hard Drive before using it for the Mac. The hard drive used in this video is an Iomega Prestige 1TB External Hard Drive. This procedure works on most external hard drives. Hope you find this tutorial a bit useful and good luck on using your hard drive with your Mac! =D

  12. i saw another YT video and didn't have a warning sign of backing up my files on the hard drive before i format my external drive for Mac. Do you know how i can restore the files or is it completely wiped out?

  16. When i get to partition it won't let me select a current. Am I doing something wrong?
