I take no responsibility if your phone is damaged in anyway. This is a video tutorial on how to install Jelly Bean (CyanogenMod 10) on your Samsung Galaxy SL i9003. At the time of making this video, the alpha 1 release of this ROM was out. Download the release version of your choice, the recent the better. Please make sure your phone's battery is fully charged. Files 2 and 3 below need to be saved in your microSD card on your phone. Download links: 1. CF Root for Gingerbread KPE: http://goo.gl/CUy3k For other firmwares: http://goo.gl/0MWyD 2. CyanogenMod 10 ROM (Jelly Bean 4.1.1): http://goo.gl/OUZSu Download the latest Alpha release. 3. Google Apps: http://goo.gl/OUZSu 4. Odin: Google "download odin" and download either v1.83 or v1.85. The 1.85 version is also available here: http://goo.gl/yNeS5 ********************************************************************************************* BUGS: 1. After the Alpha 2 release, the bluetooth bug and battery drain has been fixed. 2. Front Facing camera preview is improper. 3. Video recording suffers low framerate issues. Should be fixed soon. 4. Tethering/internet hotspot doesn't work. Can use third party applications though. ********************************************************************************************* Please note, in some cases, AFTER flashing this ROM and Gaaps, sometimes Google Applications (Play Store/Gmail etc) do not show up. Please follow this step in case you come across that problem: Regarding Gapps installation problem, use this method: 1. Get back to Gingerbread KPE (video link: http://youtu.be/2crS2rZgUQc) 2. Root it and go to the recovery mode. 3. Data wipe/Factory reset 4. Install Zip from SD card, Choose Zip from SD card and install CM10. 5. Format dbdata. 6. Flash Gapps. 7. Reboot This will solve the issue! ******************************************************************** Precautions: 1. This tutorial is for Samsung Galaxy SL i9003 only, please don't use these files for any other device. 2. Make sure your battery is fully charged. 3. Take a full backup of your phone. You may loose all data otherwise. 4. Enable USB Debugging on your phone. (Settings--Applications--Development--Check USB Debugging) This ROM is currently in development stage for this mobile device and has some bugs.
