How to Protect Your Computer From Ransomware Ransomware is a type of malware that can prevent you from using your computer, there are other types that are just malicious and stop users from accessing their computer system. The worst type of ransom is the one that encrypts all your files, this malware uses AES + RSA encryption. These type of malware are made by cyber-criminals that force there victims to pay the ransom to recover their data. These are known as Cryptolocker, Cryptowall, ACCDFISA, SYNOLOCK, CRYPVAULT, CRYPTESLA, CRYPFORT, CRYPTCOIN, CRITOLOCK, CRIBIT, CTBLocker and many more. Malwarebytes Anti Ransomware Beta is a NEW program that prevents Ransomware from injecting itself onto the system and encrypting your data. The tests I showed was fresh samples of different types of crypto ransomware. Malwarebytes Anti Ransomware done an outstanding job at keeping my data and computer safe from crypto ransomware. You don't need to install this program anymore, since version malware bytes 3.0 is out.

What if the ransomware doesn't start up but instead copies itself to the startup so next time you open your computer the ransomware starts before the anti-ransomware program so before it opens up it already did what it have to do?

Thanks for the video. I had a customer who lost all his data like that. He was always bringing me his laptop infected. I offer him to move to Linux Mint. After a short course, he's using that now. No windows crap has any grip on his machine now. It was a win for him but I lost a customer. Fixing windows malware is my main source of revenus. Thanks MS.

Always have backup

I just have an external drive and use Clonezilla to clone the internal drive to the external drive anytime I have any major changes. The user files are also copied to a Passport drive. Cheap simple, and if almost any malware shows up on the installed drive, I just clone the external back to the internal and that's the end of that!
