An update. Problem with the 3T drives is on the MBs of the older computers.
SATA ports aren't capable of recognizing the 3T drives. So not the software's fault -
Having some problems with it. It uses a LOT of memory. Tried two older machines and both eventually locked up. Plus it doesn't seem to like the newer 3 T drives.
Will keep trying to tweak -
Can this only work if the drives are configured in a standard Raid format such as RAID5? The Readynas also has something called " Flex-raid" I believe which is like a customized raid 5 which will allow for things such as starting out with 2 drives and adding more drives later on as well as expanding the array to a larger array when you swap out the smaller drives with larger drives 1 by 1 after it rebuilds the array.
Will this recovery work when the drives are in the " Flex-raid" format? -
