  4. This video was very helpful, thank you very much. But unfortunately my drive is worse off. I can hear it trying to spin (like it normally would) but it never appears on my PC. I may try cracking it open to release the head from the platter.

  12. I have to find email from April 2002! I have an old external hard drive, which hasn't quite failed yet. Here is the key, I backed up my old PC with this drive, and later backed up my new Macbook with the same drive! Of course the Mac can't read the PC back up. If I take the old drive to someone who has a PC, do you think I might be able to read off the old external hard drive. ???
  13. A question: For the power/electricity connection: do you still just plug in the little round AC/DC adapter? In other words, when you take the hard drive out of the case the input is still there on the back of the HD, without needing any kind of adapter? It looked like you were using a different kind of plug into the HD...? Thank you kindly!
