How to Recover Photos from Virus Infected Memory Card

http://www.picturerecovery.org/ - Here in this video, I have shown the simple DOS command to get back the files that becomes invisible due to virus infection on memory card. If this command don't work properly for you, I have also explained about a picture recovery software which you can use to recover photos from virus infected memory card of various brands. When virus infects your memory card, you can know this by checking files on it. Photos may either be lost, or shortcuts may be created or some garbage files will replace the original ones. Open Run dialog box either from Start menu or by using Win logo + R key combination. Here type cmd to open the command prompt, now give this command & hit Enter, to get back files which were not visible due to virus infection. Here, letter G is for the drive letter assigned to the memory card. Although this command works good for restoration, but may not recover entire files from the card. To get back entire data, you need any good recovery software available in the market. Now, I will show you about one such tool called Picture Recovery Software, which I found quite efficient in recovering back media files from memory cards. To begin with the recovery process, visit the site "www.picturerecovery.org/", download this software using "download" option and, install it on your computer. Now connect your memory card to the computer using a card reader. Upon launching the software, from the main window, choose "Recover Photos" option. On the last window, browse the location to save the recovered photos and click "next". On completion of saving process, the software automatically takes you to the location where the recovered photos are saved. That's it, you are done with the recovery.
