HOW TO RESTORE HP TO ORIGINAL FACTORY PC SETTINGS INSTALL SETUP REVIEW SERVICE MENU restore hp g6 pavilion laptop to factory settings mode What Fkey F key - at boot up screen press f10 or f12 note- some computers are different then it will send you to a factory reset menu but if you do not get that screen then you do Not have os and drivers backed up. This will clean out hard drive reformat hdd then reinstall OS & HP drivers too.

After doing this what if it goes through the command prompt, and only scans through one grouping of files , stops and doesn't do any after? what if this is a hardrive issue where the previous owner powered down during a recovery and nothing is left. it won't even start up with out this very same screen popping up and I can't get around it. how do I get around this? i tried to start up windows 7 normally and it goes right back to boot screen and doesn't even startup.

  7. Hey Tampatec, the problem I'm having with my computer is my partition on my HP Pavilion dv7 windows 7 laptop has been erased. I have the disc from HP to install everything back to normal but when I start the process first disc loads then ask for disc 2. It only loads up half the way and gives me a message ( its looking for Device Manager) I know it has to do with the missing partition. Can you help?

  10. Please help when I do the whole process and the manager function comes out it doesn't let me click on the middle option to factory reset it and I've tried everything else and it says I need the disk in order to factory reset please help I have a headache from trying to figure this out.
