Windows 8 restore for a Toshiba S50 and data recovery using hirens boot cd, concept is the same for most modern laptops. Tis method will reset windows to factory default settings. Use either a Nas or external usb drive to backup data. Extremely handy if a virus has locked you out of windows or a hard drive failure of some kind. This method will work on windows 7 and vista too.
