How to Root the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx XT912 on the Jelly Bean OTA 4.1.2 that was pushed on 12/24/12 NOTE.... You are booted into the OS when you plug your phone in?? Usb debugging on?? In MTP USB mode?? Drivers installed?? Cleared data in Smart actions app?? Last try a factory reset and then update the device this step should fix it.   4. During the "cleaning up" phase i had to unlock my screen and hit allow on a prompt asking for super user access

    and will not go any farther. Any ideas as to what this is about?
  9. My XT912 was the first phone I ever rooted, via this video. This rooting procedure works flawlessly. I still use my XT912, though it's now pretty much a music player / wifi only device. I've flashed numerous operating systems, though I'm now using Cyanogenmod 12.1, which runs pretty damn good. Pretty sweet having lollipop on the 'ol Razr..

I have tried this method as well as your video on the Droid Razr utitlity at least 15x and I always get the same result.  There is a permission access error at Phase 3 and it fails to achieve root.  I am on 4.1.2 on the XT912 just like you.  Any idea why I would be getting a permissions error?
  12. I bought a used Droid Razr Maxx that was soooooo slow. This video worked for me and was incredibly easy!

  17. I really really need help here.... I rooted everything in all i was happy and then i got a Font Changer app the first time i changed my phones font it reset and worked but then the second time i wanted to change my font it just Reboot and stayed on the Logo after the Motorola Logo or on the Droid Razr Screen. I don't think i can reboot it i just want to fix it i don't mind rebooting my device. Thanks...
