  2. can you have more than one raid setup as in one for o/s and one for storage and can you raid ssd's and sshd?
  3. lish you didnt skip stuff cause im looking for info I dont know already. Like trying to get raid 0 4 drives totalling 7.2 tb I think to work as one drive not 2tbogin
  4. I can't leave case LEDs alone either - I always have green for power and yellow for HDD.
  5. #OC3DTV I have a GT83VR Titan SLI that only came with 1x SM921 256GB PCIe and a 1TB 7200. Can I transfer the OS to the 7200 ? Then buy 3 more SM921 256GB PCIe's (the gt83 has 4 PCIe slots for SM921)? Can I setup the 3 other x SM921 256GB PCIe in RAID 0 ? Then can I transfer the OS back to the SSD ?
  6. Did my two-disk RAID0 a few days ago and got MORE than double the read/writes for one drive alone... how can that be?:D Srsly - went from 135/130 to 380/360!
  7. anyone has a good pc forum one that answers back question i may have
  8. Thanks a million, managed to setup Raid 1 with 2 SSDs & install Win10 on it
  9. no accelerate button in intel rst menu
  10. is it possble to just plug in 3 usb drives and raid those drives only?
  11. Raid 0 is bad news ... if one drive fails you've LOST everything !! much better with raid 1 or 10 (1 can loose a drive) (raid 10 can loose 2 drives) and loose nothing
  12. if i have 2 HDD ad there is windows on one and nothing on the other will i still be able to boot to the window on there
  13. no one was gonna ask what monitor that was just saying
  14. the first time I really 'smashed' the like button. because I like learning. and learning about raid, this is just cool.
  15. I have a RAID 0 setup with 2 x SSD's on my Win7 desktop. I want to wipe my system, reconfigure my RAID 0 array exactly the same as before, do a clean install of Win7 & then upgrade to Win10. What would be the best/easiest way of doing this? What steps do I take first, I'm a little confused. I setup my RAID 0 array myself about 2yrs ago but I forgot exactly how I go about this? Please respond ASAP as I only have today to get Win10 for free. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME!!!
  16. Hello if you do Raid 1 mirroring can you still use multiple drives more then 2? Second question is if the main drive dies out and i disconnect the first main drive will my latest stuff will be on the second drive? Same as if i was using third or forth drive? The other question i have left is Sense my bios doesn't have raid in it i would need a hardware raid card?
  17. what should i do?
    here is my situation:
RAID console pops up and said" volume 0 port 1 has error, back up data asap,..."
i unhided the Raid menu then went in ctrl I, changed both hard drive as non raid, then rebuild, screen shows drives are normal and bootable Yes, but when i tried to boot up os, black screen says " operating system not found"
i know i need to either reboot or reinstall os in order to recreat array, ie, to complete the fix.

    Any suggestions?
    p. s. i tried F10 or alt F10 trying to boot up the hidden partition to reinstall os back to factory setting, but can't.
i also tried to set boot mode from UEF1 to Legacy, but can not find it in BIOS...
Info : sony vgn ar770 vista 32 bit. Did chksdk, memory diagnostic and sony hardware diagnostic all came back good; only has two harddrives, so not raid 5,6 & 1*0
    million thanks in advance
  18. Wow, you cut me off, right where you where going to boot into windows. Exactly the part I need; how do you boot into windows on the old drive after you have changed from IDE to RAID? I have 1 120GB SSD and want to migrate my OS to 2 480GB SSDs.
  19. I have nvidia motherboard and boot shows up as nvidia boot device but i don't want mobo
