I have a 2012 vintage HP DV7, with an i7 processor that just went through a hard drive swap due to the original going FUBAR. I now have the computer back up on win 8.1, but the computer will not update to the newer bios version from HP's website. I use their tool to do all the work and when it tells me to restart, after it says it was successful I do, but it restarts with the original version. What am I doing wrong?
