How to Write to NTFS Drives in OS X Mavericks

Although both operating systems have made great progress, there are still a few glaring issues that prevent OS X and Windows from working together as well as they should. In this tutorial, I'll show you how to tackle one of those issues by enabling writing to NTFS drives in OS X without any third party software.

  7. after the HDD disappeared I go the the Volumes but the HD did not show up ? just fount the Mac drive ? How can i solve this

  14. I tried this on osx 10.1.1 elcapitan with my 1tb seagate and i couldnt find the drive in volumes afterwards. I looked online and installed seagate drivers and programs which i should have done in the first place, restarted my computer pluged in the drive and there it was and its working fine right now.
  15. i did everything according to the instructions but i still cannot edit my files on my ntfs hard drive. it still pops up in the same place even after i edited the sudo nano :/
