While shooting a video review of a Display Port to HDMI adapters things spiraled out of control when I decided to update my BIOS which lead to a degraded RAID array which lead to me making every mistake conceivable to ensure I never get my data back when had I been patient and did more research I would still have all my files! 1. GO TO THE COMPANY. I BELIEVE YOUR DATA IS STILL SOMEWHERE I KNOW THE GOVERNMENT GOT IT..
  2. I CAN'T SUBSCRIBE TO YOU.I DON'T KNOW WHAT I DID TO MY MACHINE.
  3. DID U DO YOU SHIRT???
  4. what about raid 10??????????? you have 4 drives!!!!!!!!
  5. Now I see why the fired you from Microsoft
  6. WHO THE FUCK USES HARD DRIVES
  7. You could have reset your computer as I had a problem with my SSD in my computer as it wasn't picking it up
  8. People make backups too complicated. Get FreeFileSync, a freeware program that compares, summarizes and syncs folders and drives. Get a USB 3 to SATA adapter, preferably one that can hold your drive. Get a drive that matches the size you want backed up. Every few days or so, do the snyc. Afterwards, disconnect the drive. For bonus security, use encryption on another sync drive and store it offsite.
  9. HA HA
  10. get a 4 TB drive and backup once every week
  11. Amazes me to see tech gurus make these rookie mistakes.
  12. That intro so cringey
  13. I'm gonna share a story with y'all. it's how I lost my entire x86 directory...

I have steam, to manage my games etc, and one day steam wouldn't run. So the most logical thing to do would be to uninstall then reinstall right? That's what I did. When I got to the page that said "Where would you like to install?" it said in 'Program Files x86' rather than in it's own specific folder in x86. (i.e. C:\Program Files x86\Steam).

Well, for some reason it didn't install correctly and I had to uninstall it again. BUT, the way that the Steam uninstaller works, is that it deletes the folder that Steam.exe is stored in, which would be x86 as it was installed in the wrong directory... When I pressed 'Uninstall', I saw most of my desktop icons disappear. After I had realize what happened, I panicked and press the shutdown button on the PC.

    But it was too late...
  14. I guess tech came along good. I know this video is about a year, but few days ago, I updated my bios on my MSI mobo. I got a raid 0 with no backup. I updated the bios normally, the pc rebooted and everything was fine...uff....
  15. You can reverse the stripping through setting up a new raid using the inverse of the current incorrect order
  16. "Update your BIOS"
That should be the new 'delete system32,' LOL.
  17. not burning important shit to an m-disc so nothing can happen to it... why does no one use them?? It's pretty much the only none volatile storage option available, how was this product swept under the rug, should sell better then anything out there for backup. I want to leave a small library of disks with the best games, movies, music, and meme's of our time that will last a thousand years as my Mark on the world. Like a digital time capsule.
  18. Nvidia drivers are going to hell, I have BSOD because of them
  19. Local backup + Cloud backup = Peace of mind
  20. I never touch drives that have lost data before I have make a copy of the broken drives, never work on a drive that has no backup. Pull the drive out of the machine and make a backup image of the whole drive. If things goes wrong than you can try again after you restore the drive with the backup image.
